About Us
The Acacia Psychotherapy and Counselling Centre was created in order to serve, support and empower individuals as autonomous beings while remaining mindful of our interconnectedness, viewing each person as a system within systems, be it relationships, families, employment or society as a whole.
The thought behind the name “Acacia”
We have chosen the Acacia tree as our symbol because of its tremendous ability to survive and adapt. It can grow on inhospitable terrains and withstand adverse conditions be it snow or drought. Despite all hardships it can still thrive and bloom its small golden suns on its branches. It is an excellent metaphor for the purity, beauty and indelible power of the soul, symbolizing its ability to evolve, to find ways to express itself and to always be directed towards the light.
